Share

A series of Chinese cultural events are taking place in Japan to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations with China. The activities have been organized by the Chinese embassy and the State Council Information Office (SCIO).

The SCIO arranged for 1,500 books about Chinese culture, history, art to be donated to Soka University. An exhibition of traditional Chinese paintings was also held in the capital city Tokyo, attended by artists from both countries.

Wang Chen, head of the SCIO, was in Japan for the occasion and noted that communications between China and Japan will promote cultural development between the two countries and strengthen the Sino-Japanese friendship.
