| China's Central Military Commission (CMC) has appointed Major General Yue Shixin political commissar of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Garrison in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, a spokesman with the PLA Garrison in Hong Kong said Wednesday.
Yue replaced Lieutenant General Wang Zengbo, who was appointed deputy political commissar of the PLA Chengdu Military Area Command, according to a decree signed by Chinese President Hu Jintao, who is also chairman of the CMC.
