Asia's largest deep-sea oil and gas platform, Liwan 3-1, has arrived in the South China Sea and is standing by for assembling.
A team is waiting for calm sea conditions to begin work and fix the platform to its pre-build underwater stand. The procedure to fix it will take about 4 hours.
The platform weighs over 30,000 tons. It travelled 10 days and more than 1200 nautical miles to reach its site. It was independently built by China, and completed last month after 21 months of construction.
