Decision of the CPC Central Committee on Some Issues Concerning the Establishment of a Socialist Market Economic Structure

In order to fulfil the task of reforming the economic structure put forward at the 14th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party and to accelerate reform, opening to the outside world and the socialist modernization drive, the Third Plenary Session of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has discussed some major issues concerning the establishment of a socialist market economic structure, and has adopted the following decision.

- VIII. Further Revamping Scientific, Technological and Educational Systems

- IX. Tightening Up the Legal System

- X. Strengthening and Improving Party Leadership and Striving to Initiate a Socialist Market Economic Structure by the End of the 20th Century
