Xi Attends Meeting of BRICS Leaders on Sidelines of G20 Summit

The leaders of the BRICS countries met in Brisbane Saturday on the sidelines of the Group of 20 (G20) Summit.

The leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, South African President Jacob Zuma and Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, are expected to discuss enhancing cooperation among the BRICS countries.

The meeting was held hours ahead of the G20 Summit slated for November 15-16.
