Air China

Air China is China's state owned and second-largest commercial airline after China Southern Airlines. It is the flag carrier and the only airline in the world to fly the national flag on its entire fleet. It's main hubs are Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai Pudong airports. Air China currently flies to approximately 120 destinations; the most destinations from its own Beijing hub.

China Eastern Airlines is an airline based in Shanghai. It is a major Chinese airline operating international, domestic and regional routes.

China Southern Airlines

China Southern Airlines is an airline based in Guangzhou in the Guangdong province, operating domestic, regional and international services. In 2008, China Southern was the world's 5th largest airline by passenger carried.

Hainan Airlines

Hainan Airlines is an airline based in Haikou, Hainan Island. It is the largest privately-owned air transport company and the fourth-largest airline in terms of fleet size in all of China. It operates scheduled domestic and international services on 500 routes from Hainan and nine locations on the mainland, as well as charter services.

China United Airlines is an airline based in Beijing. It operates scheduled charter services in cooperation with local enterprises as well as ordinary scheduled services. Its main base is Beijing Nanyuan Airport. China United is the only airline that uses this airport, a former military airfield 18 kilometers to the south of central Beijing.

Shandong Airlines is an airline based in Jinan, Shandong, China. It is a provincial carrier operating mainly domestic trunk routes and secondary schedules from Jinan, Qingdao and Yantai to major cities in China.

Shanghai Airlines

Shanghai Airlines is an airline based in Shanghai. It operates domestic and international services. Its main bases are Shanghai Pudong and Shanghai Hongqiao airports. It also retains a few flights at Nanjing and Hangzhou, and is one of the most concentrated "hub and spoke" airlines in China. On June 11, it was announced that Shanghai Airlines will merge with China Eastern.

Lucky Air is an airline based in Kunming, Yunnan of China. It operates scheduled services from Dali to Kunming and Xishuangbanna, and plans to expand to other areas of China. Its main base is Dali Airport. 

Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific Airways is the flag carrier of Hong Kong, with its headquarters and main hub at Hong Kong International Airport. The airline also operates fifth freedom flights from Bangkok and Taipei, its major focus cities. The airline's operations include scheduled passenger and cargo services to 114 destinations in 36 countries worldwide, including codeshares and joint ventures, with a fleet of 122 wide-body aircraft, consists of Airbus A330s and A340s, Boeing 747s and 777s.

Hong Kong Airlines is a Hong Kong-based airline and operates scheduled regional passenger and cargo services to 10 destinations within China mainland and Vietnam, including codeshares with its sister airline, Hong Kong Express Airways.

China Airlines

China Airlines is the flag carrier of Taiwan based at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and with headquarters in Taipei. The Airlines flies to destinations in Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania. It started scheduled flights between Taiwan and mainland China since 2008. Most flights serving this market are concentrated at Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, and Hong Kong.

EVA Air

EVA Airways Corporation is an airline based at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport near Taipei, Taiwan operating passenger and dedicated cargo services to over 40 international destinations in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America. EVA Air is largely privately owned and flies a fully international route network. It is the second largest Taiwanese airline, next in size to its main rival, China Airlines. EVA Air is headquartered in Lujhu, Taoyuan County.

Mandarin Airlines is an airline based in Taipei of Taiwan, as China Airlines's regional and domestic subsidiary. It also operates charter services. Its main base is Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.

TransAsia Airways

TransAsia Airways is an airline based in Taipei, Taiwan. It mainly serves the domestic market but also has limited scheduled international services to Macau and South Korea and charter services to some holiday destinations.

Uni Air

Uni Air is an airline based in Taiwan. It is a domestic and regional subsidiary of EVA Air. The airline has had the largest market share in the domestic Taiwan market in recent years, and has expanded to include international flights. A few of its McDonnell Douglas MD-90 aircraft have been repainted and are flying for parent carrier EVA Air due to overcapacity. In recent years, Uni Air has launched services to international destinations from the southern Taiwanese port city of Kaohsiung. In 2007, the airline received permission to begin flights to Japan.
