The Chinese government published its first working plan on human rights protection on Monday, pledging to further protect and improve the country's human rights conditions in an all-round way. The full text follows:

(9) Guarantee of human rights in the reconstruction of areas hit by the devastating earthquake in Wenchuan, Sichuan Province

II. Guarantee of Civil and Political Rights

(4) Freedom of religious belief

(5) The right to be informed
