Spring in South Africa brings with it new life and brand new adventures. In this issue of Travel Africa, we explore South Africa's varied, vast and stunning coastline. If it's a great summer camp abroad for the kid's you're after, forget America! Send them to Sugar Bay, located on the Kwa-Zulu Natal North Coast in South Africa. Sugar Bay is a children's holiday camp that offers sleepover camps for children between the ages of seven and 17 years old, based on the American summer camp model and it is the only one of its kind in South Africa. Your children are guaranteed to have the time of their lives and be the envy of every one of their friends. In fact, when I was there, a Chinese child called Shaun Lee won their talent competition!

Then we travel about 1,300 km south to the magical town of Wilderness and its surrounding lake district. Wilderness is on the Garden Route of the Western Cape Province and here we explore the quaint restaurants and coffee shops, the hotels and guest houses with their old-world charm and the fantastic adventure experiences on offer in the pristine natural Wilderness environment.

From here it's a hop skip and a jump to De Hoop Nature Reserve where we stay at the incomparably luxurious and private Morukuru Ocean House. If you want to live like royalty with your every dietary and activity need met, this is the place for you. The setting is simply stunning with the house located metres from the ocean. The house is private-use only and you have your own butler, chef and game ranger to indulge your every fancy.

In this issue we also chat to the hottest new chef in town.

Having worked alongside some of Europe and South Africa's most acclaimed chefs, Farrel Hirsch now brings his exuberant mix of passion and experience to Johannesburg with his appointment as chef of the Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff Johannesburg's flagship eatery, View Restaurant. Definitely worth a visit!

So enjoy this September issue of Travel Africa and until next time, bon voyage!
