Attendance: Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made an important speech at the session, which was attended by 197 members and 151 alternate members of the CPC Central Committee.

Approved Documents: A landmark resolution on the major achievements and historical experiences of the CPC’s 100 years of endeavors was adopted, according to a communiqué of the plenum released on November 11.

The session also reviewed and passed a resolution on convening the 20th National Congress of the CPC in the second half of 2022 in Beijing.
