China's Consumers Association has released the data of consumers' 2011 complaints on Thursday, which is marked 'International Consumers' Rights Protection Day'. Results show complaints over clothing, shoes and hats are at the top, while car complaints have reach a record high.

Last year the association received a total of 61,000 complaints, an 8.9 percent drop year-on-year. In service and commodity complaints, the service industry took away more gripes at an increase of 0.8 percent compared with that of 2010.

The sales industry took away about 30 thousand grumbles, an increase of 43 percent compared with that of the previous year. Among them, dissatisfaction over internet and TV shopping were comparatively high. The association also received more than 16,000 complaints over on the overall workings of cars, at an increase of just over 19 percent.
