Fishing Boat Capsizes Off Taipei, Five Missing

Two people have been rescued and five remain missing after a fishing boat from northern Taiwan's Keelung capsized off Taipei on the evening of December 9, rescuers said.

One more fisherman from Chinese mainland, identified as Lin Moufu, was pulled alive from the hull of the fishing boat the morning of December 11 after another mainland fisherman was saved on the morning of December 10.

Also on December 11, the body of the captain, Taiwanese Wu Tsung-te, was found in a cabin after the vessel was pulled upright. Three mainland fishermen and two fishermen from Vietnam remained missing.

Lin, the second survivor, was taken to the hospital but had no visible injuries, rescuers said. The rescue operation is still going on.
