With Chinese President Xi Jinping's approaching state visits to Italy, Monaco and France, the three countries look forward to Xi's arrival and are full of confidence for the outcome of the visit.
"For us Monacan people, this visit will be a major event in our history, as we will have the honor to welcome the Chinese president for the very first time," Catherine Fautrier, Monaco's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to China, said. "All the people in Monaco feel concern about this important event."
To express their hospitality, Prince of Monaco Albert II said, "President Xi, welcome!" to the camera in both French and Chinese.
"President Xi's visit will enhance the cultural exchanges between Italy and China and will bring more opportunities for Italian students to understand China," Francesco Alario, coordinator of Confucius Classroom of convitto nazionale di Roma, said.
As a member of the French National Assembly and chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group, Chen Wenxiong highly expects the visit to be an important one that will push forward France and China's cooperation on climate change, global trade and so on. He also thinks it will promote the leaders' personal connections, and this kind of frequent high-level interaction is beneficial for France-China relationship, said Chen.
Xi will embark on his three-country state visit on March 21.
