Chinese pop star Zhang Jie, also known as Jason Zhang, conducted his first solo concert at New York's David Geffen Hall in the Lincoln Center on May 21.
The concert was his last stop in North America of his "Sound of My Heart" World Tour.
Zhang Jie, 35, made his debut as the champion of televised singing competition My Show in 2004, and released his first album one year later. So far, he has already released 12 albums and performed over 30 concerts worldwide. He is often invited to sing theme songs for popular movies and TV dramas. During the two-hour performance in the Lincoln Center, he sang over 20 songs including theme songs of the popular Chinese TV drama Eternal Love, Lost in the Stars from Hollywood movie Star Trek Beyond, and Give You My World for the worldwide release of movie Allied.
Zhang's "Sound of My Heart" World Tour started in 2016, with the first round of the tour covering 11 cities in China. His North American tour included three cities: Vancouver, Los Angeles and New York.
