March of the Elephants, a documentary directed by Olivia Chen, celebrated its premiere on August 12 in Beijing, coinciding with the 11th World Elephant Day.

The documentary recounts the epic journey of one herd leaving behind their homeland of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, in the southwest tip of Yunnan Province, and traveling 1,300 kilometers northward over a period of 18 months. This story serves as a mirror that reflects the relationship between man and elephant as well as vividly conveys Chinese wisdom and solutions in environmental protection.
