Sealed by History analyzes President Xi Jinping’s two-day state visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, which coincided with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties. The visit helps consolidate and carry forward the friendship between the two countries and to advance a political settlement of the Korean Peninsula issue.

On Track looks at the completion of the Beijing-Zhanjiakou high-speed railway. Set to serve the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, the train will slash travel time to about one hour from the current three hours. Smart technology has been used in construction, including in excavation of several tunnels, and in the running and maintenance of the line and its trains.

FORUM

The Truth About the China-U.S. Trade Relationship looks at an analysis of the current trade friction begun by the U.S. a year ago. The paper clarifies the Chinese position on questions that have arisen during the challenges to bilateral trade and shows that China will remain self-reliant and stay on the path of high-quality development.
