Rapid upgrading of infrastructure, from transportation to the Internet, is revitalizing the area. WORLD Will the Dust Settle? analyzes the Eighth World Peace Forum held at Tsinghua University. The forum, a high-level seminar on security, invites leaders and experts from different countries to discuss the world situation and related issues, including the trade friction between China and the U.S.. FORUM Will a Lower Legal Marriage Age Lead to a Higher Birth Rate? discusses the issue of a proposal to lower the legal marriage age from 22 for men and 20 for women to 18 for both. Some people believe the lower age will not create more marriages at earlier ages and would distract people from their education, while others believe that it can help counterbalance the increase in the aged population and slow the declining marriage rate.
