Pride and Pledge looks at how the nation celebrated its 70th anniversary of founding with a national mood of pride and joy. President Xi Jinping delivered an inspiring speech in the same place, on the same day, as Mao Zedong when he declared the birth of the PRC in 1949. A grand rally and parade celebrated China’s progress and epoch-making changes and honored those who contributed to China’s founding and achievements. 

Friendship Without Borders looks at the foreign individuals who made outstanding contributions to China’s development in the past 70 years. The recipients shared their thoughts about the honors after the award ceremony of the Friendship Medal and expressed a common wish for a more prosperous China and deeper friendship with the Chinese people. 

China and the World analyzes China’s recent white paper, “China and the World in the New Era.” Released ahead of the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary, the paper highlights China’s relations with the rest of the world, its contributions and how Chinese people are realizing national renewal and are prepared to continue making contributions to humanity now more than ever.
