On September 22, more than 30 ambassadors and young diplomats from the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region visited Beijing's suburban Huairou District to learn about the progress being made there. Hosted by the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the one-day trip covered a series of activities. In Siduhe Village, they visited care centers for seniors and children, as well as agritainment businesses, and learned how villagers shook off absolute poverty and continue to advance rural development. In Beigou Village, they visited a hotel transformed from an abandoned brick and tile factory. To conclude their visit, they attended a seminar and discussed China-LAC relations.
