April is the season of spring flowers in Beijing. Flowers are in full bloom in parks, communities, fields as well mountains around the capital.

Most parks in the city have reopened in March. To avoid overcrowding, visitors have to book tickets online in advance and have their temperatures taken upon entry.

The Beijing Municipal Government has made great efforts in greening the city in the past decades. Citizens now can view and enjoy many kinds of flowers in downtown Beijing.

Also, wildflowers are mushrooming on the outskirts of Beijing. Fruit trees such as peach and pear have entered their flowering season. Local authorities are promoting sightseeing agriculture to increase farmers' income.
