While ensuring the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus epidemic, Hubei Province in central China has accelerated efforts to resume normal production and life.

According to local authorities, a total of 15,146 industrial enterprises, which account for 97.8 percent of the total across the province, resumed production as of March 29. The number of employees back to work stands at 2.22 million, or 78.3 percent. A total of 268 foreign-funded enterprises, including all of those engaged in manufacturing, in the Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Development Zone have resumed work and production.

The agriculture and services industries in Hubei have also gradually resumed production and sales. Agricultural products from the province have been transported to other areas. Business districts of many cities in the province, including Wuhan, have reopened. Local scenic spots and eco-tourism zones are also open to tourists.
