December 14-17, 2003: First Conference of Chinese, African Entrepreneurs held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Twenty-one cooperation agreements worth $1 billion were signed. The conference is now held with the FOCAC Ministerial Conference every three years.
May 21-22, 2011: First Africa-China Young Leaders Forum held in Windhoek, Namibia. The second and third forums were held in Beijing and Arusha (Tanzania) in 2012 and 2015 respectively.
August 29-30, 2011: First China-Africa People’s Forum held in Nairobi, Kenya. The second, third and fourth forums were held respectively in 2012, 2014 and 2015 in Suzhou (China), Khartoum (Sudan) and Yiwu (China).
October 27, 2011: First China-Africa Think Tanks Forum held in Hangzhou (China). The second, third and fourth forums were held in Bishoftu (Ethiopia), Beijing and Pretoria (South Africa) in 2012, 2013 and 2015 respectively.
August 27-28, 2012: First Forum on China-Africa Local Government Cooperation held in Beijing. The second forum was held in 2015 in Beijing.
