President Xi Jinping delivers a speech at a conference celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
The CPC had a total of 88.758 million members at the end of 2015, according to the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee. Xi is also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee. (Xinhua News Agency July 1, 2016)
