The 19th Asian Games opened in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, on September 23. At the welcoming banquet of the opening ceremony, Chinese President Xi Jinping said China looks forward to working closely together with the Olympic Council of Asia and delegations from all countries and regions to deliver to the world a great event that is distinctly Chinese, uniquely Asian and spectacular and to make new contribution to the Olympic Movement in Asia and the world.
