The 16th China-Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Business Summit took place in Beijing on November 2-3. China is the second largest trading partner of the LAC region, and the LAC region is the second largest destination for China's outbound investment. President Xi Jinping once pointed out that people must strive to forge a route for cooperation across the Pacific, in order to draw closer the two lands of abundance of China and Latin America, and open a new era of friendly relations.
