The Sochi 2014 Winter Paralympic Games opened 12 days after the Sochi Winter Olympics and lasted from March 7-16 in Sochi, Russia.

A record number of 550 contestants from 45 countries and regions competed for 72 medal events across five sports: alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, ice sledge hockey and wheelchair curling.

China sent a delegation of ten athletes who participated in wheelchair curling and cross-country skiing.

The wheelchair curling team took the 4th place, the best result by Team China of Winter Paralympics since its debut at the Salt Lake City in 2002.
