Part 7: Channels for People Overseas to Know China

Local media remains the main channel for people overseas to know China.

Among the overseas respondents, 57% use local traditional media to obtain information about China, and 40% turn to local new media. Overseas Chinese traditional media and Chinese products are also important channels for them to learn about China, the proportion of both exceeding 30%.

China's economy, culture and people's life are what overseas citizens want to learn about the most through Chinese media.

According to the survey, China's traditional culture, economy and people's life are what the overseas people expect to learn the most about via Chinese media. The developing countries also show a strong interest in China's science and technology.
