CPC Stresses Reform in Party Construction
Share

The top leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Friday stressed to focus on the new reform to adhere to and improve the democratic centralism, and complete the intra-Party democratic system.

During a meeting presided over by Chinese President and CPC General Secretary Xi Jinping, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee called for a personnel system reform, a move to select excellent cadres in all sectors by systemic reform and strict implementation,

The construction of the Party's grassroots units should cover all areas and sectors of the country, and a system of cultivating excellent cadres with strong competitiveness should be established, according to the meeting.

The meeting called on CPC units at all levels to conduct strict inspections over work styles and deal with discipline violations in a timely manner.

The meeting came after the fourth meeting of the newly established Leading Group for Overall Reform earlier this month.

The group, led by Xi, reviewed the reforms prior to their approval Friday.

The reforms are part of a bigger plan laid out at the third plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee in November last year.
