The first International Cooperation and Development Conference for Young Entrepreneurs will take place in Beijing from April 25 to 26, the organizer announced on April 19.

The conference will see extensive and in-depth dialogues centered on the theme  “Revitalizing Growth, Win-Win Cooperation” to seek new paths for global economic recovery in the post-pandemic era, Jia Tiesong, Deputy Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center, said.

“When discussing current hot topics, we encourage young entrepreneurs to take the initiative in promoting the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and strengthen their exchanges to enhance mutual understanding,” Jia said.

The China-proposed GDI aims to support the timely achievement of the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by revitalizing global development partnerships and promoting stronger, greener and healthier global development.

More than 200 representatives, ranging from heads of foreign chambers of commerce to young entrepreneurs, from more than 50 countries will be in attendance.

The conference will also witness the launch of the International Alliance of Young Entrepreneur Associations, a new platform for global young entrepreneurs to team up in building the Belt and Road Initiative and an open world economy.

Currently, young entrepreneur organizations from 50 countries have applied to join the alliance and 32 of them will become initial members.

“Young entrepreneur organizations have been playing a crucial role not only in boosting company development but in seeking solutions for social issues and strengthening international cooperation,” Jia said, adding, “The alliance serves as a new platform catering to new demands in accordance with new circumstances.”

The conference is also expected to issue a declaration on international cooperation for young entrepreneurs which will reflect the consensus reached by the participants.
