Data resources are emerging as a strategic asset driving global digital transformation. President Xi believes this pivotal resource must be used to the benefit of people in all countries. It is therefore important to foster open cooperation, bridge data divides and create an inclusive, trusted data ecosystem that balances development with security. The newly established World Data Organization is expected to play a pioneering role.
