Federal Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak said Prime Minister Imran Khan would launch work on the Rashakai 'China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) City' on November 18.
"The city will be constructed under CPEC and will consist of education and commercial zones, public buildings, apartments, golf course, theme park and sports facilities," said the federal minister while speaking at a public meeting in Abakhel, NowsheraKalaan.
Pervez Khattak said a large number of industrial units would be set up at the "CPEC City" which would create thousands of jobs for the people of Nowshera and other nearby districts of KP.
The federal minister hoped the people of his home district would accord a rousing welcome to the prime minister during his forthcoming visit to Rashakai to thank him for the mega project. Meanwhile, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the authorities to remove all hurdles in the smooth implementation of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, top aides of the PM told Gwadar Pro.
The PM's directions come amid complaints by the Chinese companies working on the CPEC projects that there were bureaucratic hitches which were hampering the pace of work on the CPEC projects in various areas of Pakistan. PM's spokesperson Nadeem Afzal Chan told Gwadar Pro that the premier had asked the concerned officials in all the provinces, especially in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhaw to facilitate the work on CPEC projects rather than becoming a reason to delay the proceedings.
Citing recent meetings, Chan said PM Khan had told his ministers and aides that delay in implementation of the CPEC projects will not be tolerated.
