The exhibition Twin Stars Illuminating the World: the Ancient Shu Civilization of the Sanxingdui and Jinsha Sites is underway in the National Museum of China from January 18 to August 18. Dating back to around 1600-1100 B.C. and 1100-800 B.C., respectively, Sanxingdui and Jinsha were the successive centers of the ancient Kingdom of Shu, located in Sichuan Province today. The exhibition displays more than 200 artifacts and sets from the two sites, which are just 38 km apart.
