The Where Civilizations Meet—Collections From Museums of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States exhibition runs at the National Museum of China in Beijing from August 27 to November 11. This exhibition presents 220 cultural artifacts, selected from 10 museums and heritage institutions across SCO member states.
SCO member states are deeply rooted in the ancient soils of the Eurasian continent. Over millennia, this vast land has nurtured a spectacular tapestry of civilizations—Chinese, Central Asian, ancient Indian and South Asian, ancient Persian and West Asian, and more. Connecting them all was the Silk Road, the essential artery that linked East and West, allowing these diverse cultures to interact, exchange and enrich one another, forging a shared legacy of dialogue and mutual influence.
