Ink Splendor and Cultural Heritage: Gansu Silk Road Art Treasures is a special exhibition running at the National Art Museum of China (NAMC) in Beijing from March 11 to August 17.

Jointly organized by the NAMC and several leading museums in Gansu Province, northwest China, the exhibition features over 240 artifacts spanning multiple categories from sculptures to frescoes.

The exhibition unfolds through two sections: Harmonious Radiance: the Art of Painting and Sculpture, tracing the cultural exchange and development of painted sculpture and mural art along the Silk Road; and Shared Brilliance: Calligraphy and Seal Carving, exploring the evolution of writing systems and their material forms.

By bringing together these carefully selected artifacts, the exhibition illuminates the province's pivotal role as both guardian and conduit of cultural exchange along the ancient Silk Road trade routes.
