At the height of the summer tourist season in Luding County of Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, the Together on the Long March team from China International Communications Group (CICG) visited the site of a major battle that took place 91 years ago between the Red Army and the Kuomintang army that pursued it. The battle to seize the Luding Bridge was one of the critical fights that helped the Red Army survive the Long March and move toward victory.
Together on the Long March is a media project launched to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the completion of the Long March, a series of strategic relocations undertaken by the Red Army under the leadership of the Communist Party of China in order to break through the encirclement by the Kuomintang party’s repressive regime.
