The art exhibition Homage to the Virtuosos: From Leonardo Da Vinci to Caravaggio—Masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance was launched at the National Art Museum of China (NAMC) in Beijing on April 27. It will be open to the public from April 28 to August 28.

The exhibition, co-hosted by the NAMC, Galleria degli Uffizi of Italy and Ningxia Yanbao Charity Foundation, showcases 36 classical art pieces from more than 20 masters of the Italian Renaissance, a period in Italian history that ran from about 1400 to 1600.

During the exhibition, the NAMC will also host academic lectures, thematic forums and multimedia experiences on the humanistic spirit and contemporary significance of the Renaissance.
