The 37th Beijing Book Fair was held at the China International Exhibition Center from January 9 to 11. Over the three days, the fair showcased more than 400,000 book titles and attracted 100,000 visitors, with total procurement reaching 100 million yuan ($14 million).
Spanning 50,000 square meters, the exhibition space included areas for provincial delegations, publishing houses affiliated with central government departments, publishers from Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan region, as well as sections dedicated to digital publishing. Additionally, it featured specialized spaces for social sciences, science and technology, children's education and cultural education.
A prominent aspect of this year's book fair was the newly added exhibition area for cultural and creative products. This section featured offerings from numerous well-known publishing institutions, brick-and-mortar bookstores and major libraries, showcasing items such as book accessories, stationery and art collections.
The event also included interactive activities like seal and stamp collecting, themed salons, new book launches, author storytelling sessions and several professional forums.
