The 2026 International Skating Union Four Continents Figure Skating Championships took place on January 22-25 at Beijing’s National Indoor Stadium, an iconic venue of the 2022 Winter Olympics. Serving as the final major international competition before the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, the event attracted over 100 skaters from 17 countries and regions.
Japan led the overall medal count, securing two gold, one silver and three bronze medals. The United States dominated the ice dance podium with a clean sweep and also captured the gold in pair skating.
China’s Olympic champion pair Han Cong and Sui Wenjing (2022 gold medalists) finished first in the short program but missed the gold because of an injury that affected Sui’s performance in the free-skating segment.
The Milano Cortina Winter Olympics will be held in north Italy, primarily in the city of Milan (Milano) and the Alpine mountain resort town of Cortina d’Ampezzo, in February.
