The Zuiderdam, a cruise ship operated by the Holland America Line, a shipping company based in Seattle, the U.S., arrived in Dalian, Liaoning Province, on March 10. This was a significant event as it was the first of its kind to visit northeast China since the country announced the full resumption of international cruise ship transport to and from its ports in September 2023.

The ship brought a diverse group of over 1,100 passengers from 30 countries and regions, predominantly from the United States, Germany and Canada.

Following its exploration of Dalian, the cruise ship continued its journey to the port city of Tianjin in north China, further enriching the travelers' itinerary with a wide range of destinations and cultural encounters.
