October 10 is the anniversary of the Revolution of 1911. On October 9, 2021, China held a high-profile meeting in Beijing to mark the 110th anniversary of the revolution, which ended the thousands-year-long absolute monarchy in the country. Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the meeting.
