Chinese President Xi Jinping addressed via video link the opening ceremony of the high-level segment of the second part of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15) in Montreal, Canada, on December 15. Xi is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission.
