May 1 is International Workers' Day, and labor is the means for creating value. Whether a country or region can make use of the opportunities available to get ahead in its development increasingly depends on the quantity and quality of the workforce it cultivates. President Xi Jinping has emphasized cultivating talent for the Party and the country and improving China's ability to nurture talent at home. These efforts will see the country producing first-class innovators and attracting the brightest minds from around the world.
