The 16th BRICS Summit, the first since the group's enlargement from five members to 10, took place in Kazan, Russia, on October 23. Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a speech at the summit. "It is for our shared pursuit and for the overarching trend of peace and development that we BRICS countries have come together," he said.
