Edited and published by publishing houses affiliated to CIPG, the books document China's successful poverty alleviation campaign and its building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects. The works are available in ten languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Japanese, Arabic, Portuguese, Italian, Vietnamese and Indonesian.

These books offer a wide range of perspectives regarding China's poverty alleviation endeavors, including targeted poverty elimination, relocating people from inhospitable areas, and foreigners' participation in poverty reduction.

Through these books, readers are expected to gain a better understanding of the strenuous efforts and great achievements made by the Communist Party of China, the Chinese government and the Chinese people in securing a victory against poverty.

"By telling stories of China's battle against poverty, we can not only present the country's contribution to global poverty eradication, but can also share our experience and wisdom in ending deprivation," said Lu.

So far, 20 copyright export deals with 20 publishing institutions from 19 countries have been signed, and 12 kinds of such books have been co-published with 12 renowned publishers from 10 countries, Lu added.

Arab Scientific Publishers, together with two other publishers in Germany and Albania, respectively, sent videos of congratulations and welcomed the overseas publishing of the books.

In 2020, after eight years of efforts, the final 98.99 million impoverished rural residents living under the current poverty line in China were lifted out of poverty. All the 832 impoverished counties and 128,000 impoverished villages have been removed from the poverty list.
