Magazine publisher-turned international communication agency CICG Americas makes its debut | |

The CICG Americas leadership team (WANG XIANG) The publisher of China’s leading English-language newsweekly Beijing Review has been reorganized into a multimedia communication agency serving readers and audiences in the Americas and beyond. The new institution--Center for the Americas, China International Communications Group (CICG Americas)--debuted in Beijing on February 25. CICG Americas is a regional arm of China’s most time-honored conglomerate specializing in presenting the fast-changing country to the world, previously known as China International Publishing Group. It aims to share timely, accurate and firsthand information on China’s political, economic, diplomatic, scientific and cultural progress. It further undertakes a mission to promote a wider knowledge of President Xi Jinping’s vision for development and cooperation.

The CICG Americas logo (DESIGNED BY WANG YAJUAN) CICG Americas has established its presence in various countries across both North and Latin America, with its North America Bureau based in New York City, Latin America Bureau in Mexico City and Peru Office in Lima, as well as solid ties with its Brazilian partners. Since its launch in 1958 as a magazine of news and views, Beijing Review has been a trusted source of information for readers in more than 150 countries and regions. The latest transformation speaks volumes about its commitment to reaching out more extensively to the Americas, engaging audiences more effectively, and making China better understood through media convergence. |
